The Dark Knight Rises

I am a huge batman fan. And what Christopher Nolan has done with the batman movies is unbelievable. From the ground breaking origin story in Batman Begins, which has inspidered countless of movies, to the box office recording setting movie The Dark Knight; Nolan’s movies are the best. And next July he is bringing the final chapter to his series to the big screen.
Christian Bale returns as the Dark Knight who is pitted against one of his most brutal foes from the DC universe, Bane who is played by Tom Hardy. The official synopsis of the movie is “Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes.”
After reading many interviews I think it’s safe to say that they terrorist group they are referring to is the League of Assassins (who was lead by Ra’s ah Ghul in Batman Begins and was trying to recruit Bruce Wayne into leading the charge against Gotham). Also it is speculated that Talia ah Ghul being in the movie(daughter of Ra’s) and Liam Neeson will be appearing in Flashbacks. I say speculated because as of right now Nolan hasn’t confirmed if this. Also it is CONFIRMED that Catwoman will be in this movie being played by the Academy Award nominated actress Anne Hathaway. And Catwoman (who is a cat burglar) is after Bruce because she feels that he has gotten rich over people being poor (sound familiar to anyone).

Now that I got the basics out of the way I am going to embellish on the story some. Now this is just me thinking out side of the box from what is known from the two already released trailers and the six minute long prologue that is attached to Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

First watch the trailers so you know kind of what I am talking about.
Trailer 1

Trailer 2

Some of you might have noticed the scenes of Bruce Wayne in prison; I think those are going to serve as a back story to back when Bruce was imprisoned in Batman Begins. And knowing Bane’s back story from the comics (was sentenced to life in prison when he was an infant to carry out his fathers punishment.) I think that Bane and Bruce had met back before Bruce became the Batman. Also this works out because I also think that Ra’s rescued Bane from prison and trained him to become an assassin. And once Ra’s got “killed” in the first one I think that that sent Bane off the deep end and ever since that he has been planning his revenge.
Or that can be totally wrong. In the second trailer there is a clip starting at 1:31 and its Bane talking to Bruce (who is severely beaten) saying “When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die. “ which can mean that Bane either had it out for Gotham way before Batman Begins days or that Bruce gets captured during what looks like the raid on his house and is then imprisioned by Bane. That could be as a way to keep Batman from interfering with his plans, but then why wouldn’t Bane just kill him?
So I think that the first scenario is the most likely one.
In the Six minute prologue he says “ It doesn't matter who we are? What matters is our plan.” And from clips shown in the trailers it looks like his plan is to complete his masters work and make Gotham burn. And since, in my theory, Bane and Ra’s were partners that probably mean that Bane knows that Bruce is the Batman. So that sets up why Bane wants to crush Gotham so badly.
Also the trailers show Bane breaking prisoners out of Black Gate prison, blowing up the football field and what I think is raiding of Wayne Manor .

And it also looks like our friend Commissioner Gordon is in for a rude awakening this movie. We have seen him go from detective to commissioner and now it sounds like the mayor is going to can him. And then we see him in a hospitable bed, which can only mean one thing and that is Bane (or goon) gets to him and hurts him good.

Some might have noticed Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays a beat cop John Blake. And hardly anything is known about his character. Set photos show him mostly standing around (as if he was an extra) and every now and again he would do something like chase after a motorcycle with his gun drawn. But when I think back to his casting Nolan made a decently big deal the JGL will be in think movie and that makes me think. So what if batman is needed but is nowhere to be found? (most likely because of bane kidnapping him.) And we know that JGL does play a cop who is after batman and we know that Gordon gets extremely hurt in this movie and is talking to what everyone believes to be Bruce about how “We were in this together, and then you were gone. And now there's evil rising. The Batman has to come back. “ then what if it is JGL not Bruce who says “What if he doesn't exist anymore? “ and Gordon isn’t a dumb guy I’m sure that over the years he has put together the fact the Bruce is Batman, so he tells JGL everything he knows about Bruce, JGL then goes to Wayne Manor and discovers the batcave and takes the suit. So I guess what I’m saying is what if JGL becomes batman for some of the movie as a fill in until he tracks down Bruce and rescues him.
I know all of that was just me thinking extremely but I think that it very well could be because we all know that in the comics when Batman was injured and out of action that someone put on the cowl and fights as him (and again when he “dies” during the Final Crisis) so that’s something to just think about for a little bit.
But on a sad note both of the Chris’s (Nolan and Bale) have said that this will be the final Batman movie in this franchise and that neither are wanting/planning to return. I can go on writing about this movie for ages but I’ll stop for now.

Make sure to stay tuned for more news. Until then here are some awesome pictures.
